November 2022: THE BEATLES – REVOLVER

We’re back at Glossop Labour Club on Thursday 10th November to play The Beatles’ sole album of 1966, Revolver, on vinyl and in full.

Recently given then deluxe treatment, there are now three versions to choose from – the original 1966 mono and stereo mixes, and the new remix by the son of the original producer George Martin, Giles. But which one will we play? Join us to find out! We’ll also be exploring the album’s recording sessions with a few outtakes and other songs from the same period. It’ll be ‘fab’ night, guaranteed!

Doors open at 8pm and the music starts at 8.30. See you there!

October 2022: VANGELIS

We’re back at Glossop Labour Club on Thursday 13th October to celebrate the music of Vangelis.

A prolific and hugely influential musician and composer who passed away in May this year, we’ll be dipping into his albums from the 1970s and 1980s, taking in the wild prog of Aphrodite’s Child, solo and soundtrack albums, collaborations including his work with Yes vocalist Jon Anderson and, of course, his soundtrack for Blade Runner.
