After last year’s hugely popular Singles Night session, at which we were enraptured by rare reggae records, introduced to the floppy world of flexi-disc collecting and played a spot of Dansette Roulette, we thought we’d do it all again!
So, on Thursday 12th February, the evening will once more revolve exclusively at 45 RPM, as we turn our attention to the single (and its close cousin the EP) of all vinyl shapes, sizes and colours… 7″, 12″, coloured vinyl, picture disc… You name it. If it’s a single, it’s in.
Doors open at 8pm, and from 8.30pm the session will be broken into chunks, so if you fancy claiming one of these chunks to spin three or four of your favourite singles and talk about them, get in touch.
But if you’ve just got a couple of things you want to play and not talk about, that’s fine. Just bring the records with you on the night and if needs be, elbow your way to the deck.
Bring yourself. Bring your singles. And share the love of vinyl.
One final reminder… Don’t come looking for love, it’s not that kind of singles night!
